Our Birthday
Celebrating one’s birthday is a strange concept for the slum children. To make them aware of the joys of celebrating birthdays, a common birthday for all of them called OUR BIRTHDAY was celebrated every year. The children put up a colourful function in front of invited audiences.
Women’s Convention
To instill into the hearts of the youth a desire to love and pursue the ideals of Swami Vivekananda, a day long convention was organized. Sannyasinis of Sri Sarada Math, Dakshineswar honoured the occasion by their presence.
Scripture classes
Scripture classes were held once a month for over seventeen years for members of Vivek Chetana.

Vivek Chetana has also boldly ventured to extend its literacy drive to the villages to motivate mothers and students.
